Jim Cantore Goes Political on X; Weather Channel Viewers Threaten to Cancel Network

Jim Cantore made an atypical reply on X last night, wading into a political controversy that has some very upset. While most of the Weather Channel star meteorologist’s postings on X deal exclusively with the weather, Cantore replied to a parody account which asked a question about recent developments in Georgia dealing with the 2020 presidential election.

A Karoline Leavitt parody account (@WHLeavitt on X) wrote, “Rudy Giuliani destroyed by Dems for exposing 2020 GA election crimes: bankrupted, disbarred, charged, ordered to pay $148M to Ruby Freeman & Shaye Moss -who conspired to overthrow the government. Do you agree that Rudy Giuliani should be getting his money back? A. Yes B. No.”

Cantore replied to the post, “Hell yes!! With interest!!” His reply, as of press time, captured over 62,000 views, 49 re-Tweets, and 601 likes. But it also generated 170 replies, many of which are angry for Cantore’s take on things.

What a shame”. I will be starting a petition to send to the weather channel and stations that carry their channel. Stay tuned!!”

But not everyone is threatening to unfollow Cantore or cancel The Weather Channel; some have come to his support.
