Epic Heavy Rains Flood

Epic heavy rains continue to flood portions of the eastern U.S., with the National Weather Service reporting that more than 10″ of rain has fallen over portions of  Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, and Kentucky. Numerous Flash Flood Watches were issued prior to this event and many Flash Flood Warnings remain in effect.

Some areas also saw more than a foot of rain. According to the National Weather Service, Mayfield, Kentucky measured 13.40″ while Symsonia, Kentucky measured 12.34″.

Heavy rain continues today over portions of the southeast with central and southern Alabama and central and northern Georgia in a prime area for exceptionally heavy rain.
