While the Summer Solstice arrived yesterday, snow continues to fly today in portions of the Rockies on this first full day of summer. On Pikes Peak now, there’s a 3 pm temperature of 25 degrees with snow falling. Yesterday, more than a foot of snow blanketed some high elevation areas yesterday.
Snow has been reported in elevations as low as 7,000 feet in parts of northern and north-central Colorado today with more forecast to fall tonight into tomorrow. With the wintry conditions, the National Weather Service has issued Winter Weather Advisories for the region.
