NASA attempted yet again to launch a sounding rocket from the Virginia coast this evening; unfortunately, like the many times before it, tonight’s launch was scrubbed.

A wayward boat, high winds at the launch site at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility, and haze at the project cameras at Wallops, VA and Duck, NC all conspired to scrub the launch.

NASA will attempt again on Monday, June 12 between 9:04pm and 9:19pm;  back-up dates are set all-week should Monday’s launch be scrubbed too. The very first launch attempt was scheduled for May 31 and subsequent attempts have failed due to either weather or wayward boats.
