The New York City Police Department is alerting residents of a special fly-over JetBlue is scheduled to perform tonight over the New York City metro area.  Tonight, at around 7pm ET, three Jet Blue aircraft will conduct a flyover over Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx; they’ll be flying very low at only 2,000 feet. Counting it’s decorative spire, the jets will only be 224 feet above the city’s tallest building,  1 WTC.

Jet Blue says they’re doing this flyover to “salute frontline first responders and health care workers” as part of the citywide “Clap Because We Care” initiative.  The police urge the public to follow social distancing guidelines if viewing the flyovers outside.
