Facebook’s Safety Check for Hurricane Matthew

Facebook has activated its “Safety Check” feature, allowing people to “check-in” and notify their friends that they are safe in a natural disaster.

For Hurricane Matthew, Facebook is activating a safety check for each region impacted by the storm. This way, if people are passing through multiple disaster areas, they can alert friends and family they are safe.
