Tropical Storm Andrea, the first tropical storm to form in the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season, has faded away over the open waters of the Atlantic. According to the Miami, Florida-based National Hurricane Center, there are no other tropical cyclone threats in the Atlantic Hurricane Basin nor are there expected to be any tropical cyclone threats anywhere to the U.S. for at least the next 7 days.
While Andrea was upgraded to Tropical Storm status yesterday, it was quickly downgraded to a post tropical cyclone during the overnight hours as it entered an area where conditions aren’t conducive for tropical cyclones to grow.

“Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the next 7 days,” wrote meteorologists at the National Hurricane Center in their latest Tropical Outlook issued earlier today. As such, it is highly unlikely any tropical disturbance will take shape prior to July 1.
The Atlantic Hurricane Season, which started on June 1, runs through to November 30. Forecasters believe it will feature an above normal number of storms.
