For the first time since August 1974, there were four named storms in the Eastern North Pacific Hurricane Basin today: Carlotta, Daniel, Emilia, and Fabio. Fortunately none are of any threat to land, including Hawaii which is in the adjacent Central Pacific Hurricane Basin.
Tropical Storms Carlotta and Daniel faded away to Tropical Depressions earlier today and now are simply remnant lows. However, Emilia and Fabio are looking more impressive on satellite photography although neither are expected to grow beyond tropical storm status.
Fortunately, no direct impacts to Hawaii are expected from these 4 systems. #HIwx https://t.co/kkc2xgUs2x
