Tropical Storm Don continues to spin about over the open waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. With the storm traveling south and west into an environment with warmer sea surface temperatures, the National Hurricane Center expects it to strengthen more.

As of the last advisory from the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Don was located about 795 miles west-southwest of the Azores. With maximum sustained winds of 45 mph, the storm had a minimum central pressure of 1004 mb or 29.65″. It is moving to the west at 8 mph.

According to the National Hurricane Center, the storm should move generally west-northwestward on Thursday into Friday and then turn northwestward or northward on Saturday.  Some strengthening is forecast over the next day or so, with little change in intensity expected afterwards through Saturday.

The storm should remain out at sea for now with no threats or direct impacts to land at this time.
