It’s Roasting on this Turkey Day in New York

by Weatherboy Team Meteorologist - November 26, 2020

Thanksgiving Dinners weren't the only thing warm today in New York.
Thanksgiving Dinners weren’t the only thing warm today in New York.

More than Thanksgiving turkeys are roasting on this holiday in New York City: temperatures soared to a near record high in the Big Apple today.

Today’s 65 degree high temperature for Central Park was the third highest temperature on record in New York. The warmest Thanksgiving Day was back in 1933 (November 30) when the temperature rose to 69. In 2007 (November 24), the temperature climbed to 66. Today’s 65 degree temperature ties it with Thanksgivings in 2004 (November 25) and 1966 (November 24).
