
Authorities are investigating an accident that occurred at the Minneapolis – St. Paul International Airport (MSP) last night that claimed the life of a man. A 911 caller told police that a 47-year-old man was struck and killed by a snowplow in the parking lot at the airport.
At about 7:30 pm, according to an airport spokesperson, first responders were called to the LSG Sky Chefs facility on the 3100 block of East 73rd Street, which is located just south of Terminal 2. There they recovered the body of a man, who’s identity has not yet been released, that was struck by a snowplow in the parking lot.
It was snowing at the time of the incident and the airport was under a Winter Storm Warning. The airport received 4.1″ of snow from this latest winter storm.
MSP Airport police are investigating the incident with assistance from the Minnesota State Patrol.
