Weatherboy has launched a fundraiser for survivors of the 2017 Atlantic Hurricane Season; Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria have destroyed portions of Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. By selling Weatherboy branded merchandise for the first time, it is hoped many dollars will be raised for people that need it the most. Weatherboy has partnered with apparel company CustomInk which has a track-record of creating successful, low-cost fundraisers for a variety of charitable endeavors. By selling sweatshirts, hoodies, and short/long sleeve t-shirts on the CustomInk platform, money will be raised for The Salvation Army and their Hurricane Relief Fund.

Due to high scores by independent charity monitoring organizations and by seeing their efforts on the ground in areas hit hard by the hurricanes, Weatherboy selected the Salvation Army to be the benefactor of this fundraising endeavor. Through an additional fundraising promotion on Facebook, Weatherboy will also make a contribution to The Greater Houston Community Foundation, Americares, Humane Society International, and World Vision, with money directed to people and pets impacted by the hurricanes in the US.
Over the years, Weatherboy has given away thousands of pieces of Weatherboy merchandise online or through radio station partners for free but never sold any. Ranging from snow measuring yardsticks and coffee mugs to t-shirts and hats, Weatherboy is pleased to make the first item available for purchase an item for charity.
On the CustomInk website, several items with the special edition Weatherboy logo are available for purchase.  The Weatherboy brand identity has always been colorful, clean and cheerful, but for this endeavor, a special edition black logo that shows Weatherboy dirty and saddened by what’s happened this hurricane season is visible. Hoodies are available in saphire blue, red, and sports grey in sizes S – 5XL. Sweatshirts are available in sports grey from YXS – 5XL. A long-sleeve t-shirt is available in royal blue in sizes YXS-3XL while a short-sleeve t-shirt is available in sports grey in sizes YXS-3XL. Prices start at $25 for the short-sleeve t-shirt, $28 for the long-sleeve t-shirt, $35 for the sweatshirt, and $40 for the hoodie.
