The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, also known as “NOAA” for short, is the lead agency over the National Weather Service, the National Hurricane Center, the National Ocean Service, and the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service, among others. As they did last year, they’re looking to help people carve out some fun time with their Halloween pumpkins and festive seasonal decor.

Beyond the NOAA logo, templates to create an earth-observing satellite, a tornado,  and various marine creatures are available for use.

A NOAA press release says, “We want to make sure you ‘carve’ out some time for some Halloween fun! Our new pumpkin carving templates take you on an adventure from satellites far above our heads to sea creatures in the depths of the ocean. We hope you have a spook-tacular Halloween!”

The templates were designed by Kaleigh Ballantine, NOAA Office of Education’s new U.S. Department of State – Virtual Student Federal Service (VSFS) intern. Ballantine’s primary role will be to increase the accessibility and design of NOAA’s Office of Education materials.

Those that carve a pumpkin using one of the NOAA templates are encouraged to tag NOAA Education (@NOAAEducation) on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
