Powerful winds blew through the Mid Atlantic during the early morning hours today as a strong low pressure system and its cold front raced through the region, blowing gusts over 40 mph.
Strong low pressure will continue to move up into southern Canada today while a strong cold front, attached to the low, pushes north and east too. High pressure is expected to build to the south later Saturday through Sunday, with a weak cold front that may that is forecast to move through the region towards the end of the weekend.
